CA Licensed Clinical Social Worker #126467
Owner | Couples Therapist | Trauma-Informed Therapy | Certified Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP) Provider
About Me
I’m a licensed clinical social worker with over 25 years of experience providing therapy for individuals, couples, and families navigating complex life transitions, emotional challenges, and relationship struggles.
I specialize in couples therapy and relationship counseling, with a focus on helping adult partners rebuild connection, repair trust, and resolve recurring conflicts. Whether you're navigating communication breakdowns or the pain of betrayal, including infidelity, I offer a supportive, nonjudgmental space for healing and reconnection.
As a queer, cisgender Japanese-American woman, I bring both clinical expertise and lived experience to my work. I’m deeply attuned to the nuances of multicultural family dynamics, gender identity, and neurodiversity—both personally and professionally—as a parent, co-parent, and partner.
My Approach
Trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and tailored to each client’s unique goals. I’m trained in:
Gottman Method (Level 2) for evidence-based couples counseling
EMDR therapy for trauma and PTSD
Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)
Interpersonal Neurobiology (IPNB)
I also integrate mindfulness, polyvagal theory, and somatic practices to support nervous system regulation and sustainable emotional healing.
Current Offerings
I offer both in-person therapy in Sacramento, CA and secure virtual sessions across California, including traditional 50-minute appointments and extended formats for deeper therapeutic work.
